Strong response to Changi luxury tenders

Coach, Bvlgari, Hermes and Tiffany & Co are among brands competing for space at seven outlets at Singapore Changi terminal two
The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore has received bids from 14 companies representing several luxury brands in its recent tender for luxury concessions at seven outlets in terminal two's central and south departures/transit lounges. DFS Ventures Singapore placed bids for every location, Spanish company Inditex's retail brands Zara and Massimo Dutti are competing against rival Spanish retailer Mango for space and Hong Kong fashion brand Shanghai Tang is hoping to secure its first airport listing outside its home country.The seven outlets, measuring between 103sq m and 156sq m, are being tendered individually, with non-renewable contracts lasting for three years from January 1, February 8 or February 15 depending on the location.
American Style, representing Coach, bid for three out of four locations in the southern area of the departures lounge. Anya Singapore also filed bids for three locations for the Anya Hindmarch luxury handbag brand, with one location in the central area and the other two in the terminal's south section. Kwang Sia placed bids on three locations in the south area of the terminal for Hugo Boss, offering percentages of monthly sales rising at yearly intervals, or increasing monthly guarantees, whichever is higher.
Da Vinci jewellery placed identical bids on three locations, one central and two southern, as did Tiffany & Co. Montblanc Singapore also bid for three locations, two in the central area and one in the south.
Aryan (Sea) represented Inditex's star retail brand Zara in a bid for two locations in the southern area of the departures and transit lounge, while Gagan Holdings bid for two central locations for fellow Inditex brand Massimo Dutti.
RSH, representing Mango, bid for one central location. Sidefame, representing Anteprima Plastiq handbags, and STI (Singapore), representing Shanghai Tang, both bid for the same outlet in the south section of the lounge.
Among the multi-brand bids, Club 21 bid on two southern locations, one for Mulberry and the other for Emporio Armani. DFS Venture Singapore placed several bids for alternative brands: one for Gucci or Burberry; one for Polo Ralph Lauren, Bvlgari or Prada; one for Hermes; one for Salvatore Ferragamo, Bvlgari or Tumi; one for Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo or Polo Ralph Lauren; one for Burberry, Polo Ralph Lauren or Bvlgari; and one for Gucci or Burberry. Luxury Ventures placed bids for Bally and Coach. For Bally it placed bids on three central locations and for Coach it placed bids on three southern locations.
