Princess Juliana International airport on the Dutch Caribbean island has called a tender for retail space in its new $87m terminal

Princess Juliana International airport on the Caribbean island of St Maarten has called a tender for 27 retail concessions and 12 catering outlets in its new $87m terminal. The airport is to create a new retail concept themed Sun, Sand and Sea, designed to reflect a strong local flavour.

The airport has made Request for Proposals CDs—one each for the retail and food and beverage bids—available to interested parties at a cost of $20 to local applicants and $50 to overseas bidders. These will be available until June 30.

A briefing meeting will be held on May 27 at 9am, at the Sonesta Maho Beach resort . The closing date for submissions is August 15.
