Over 400 people attending the TFWA World Exhibition took part in the pre-show day of sport and relaxation on Sunday October 20
In the rugby the Latin Lovers and the Travel Retail Terminators drew for the first time 10-all. The organisers of the event -the Travel Retail Rugby Association- agreed to set up a trust fund and run a series of charitable events to benefit the families of rugby victims in the recent Bali terrorist outrage. The rugby was sponsored by Air France Magazine, BPI, Brown Forman, Mediakeys, World Duty Free Europe, Ferrero, Moodie International and Hugo Boss.
The Davidoff-Gebr Heinemann golf tournament was fully booked with 120 competitors - including just eight women. The results were:

The hard fought tennis finals at the Club Sportif de Montfleury were eventually won by Stephane Laws-Yee of S3 Parfums in the men's event and by Connie Lin, regional sales manager for Nestle Asia Pacific in the women's. Tennis sponsors were Lanson and Reebok Eyewear.
The traditional French game of Petanque was enjoyed by 30 delegates. The winning team was captained by Jean-Paul Dru of Haumont, along with Philipe Bizot (Mediakeys), Virginie Marquet and Franck Lemonnier (Altadis).
