Sony scoops the three-year contract for an international brand name electronics concession at Singapore Changi airport terminal three

Sony Electronics (Singapore) has fought off competition from rival Market One in a two-way race to secure the international brand name electronics concession at Singapore Changi airport departure/transit lounge north terminal three.

Sony's winning bid featured additional rental of 9% of total monthly gross sales or a minimum monthly guarantee of S$33,000 ($21,570), while Market One offered additional rent of 3% of total monthly gross sales for sales up to S$500,000 ($326,797), 4% of total monthly gross sales for sales above S$500,000 or a minimum monthly guarantee of S$17,000 ($11,110).

The three-year contract will start from January or February 1 2008 or from when operations at T3 begin, with no option for further renewal.
