Customers can go interactive and experience latest and upcoming Sony technologies
Electronics supplier Sony has announced it will open a new concept store at London Heathrow airport terminal five, which opens to passengers on March 27. The company said the store will have a strong focus on customer stimulation and is based on a “technology garden” theme where passengers can test current and future technologies.
The store will showcase Sony’s latest innovations, such as Bravia LCD TVs, Blu-ray products, fingerprint laptop technology, family-orientated gaming and music on the move. Specially trained brand ambassadors will deliver demonstrations, including Cyber-shot digital imaging facial recognition at a central podium where passengers can have their images uploaded to a gallery feature wall.
BAA T5 retail director Nick Ziebland said: “We are delighted that a company of Sony’s stature has committed to open its flagship store in Europe at T5. Through its unique, experiential shopping environment, Sony will be setting an exceptional benchmark for airport retailing in the 21st century.”
