Simonin succeeds Palatin as Escada president

Richard Simonin has been appointed president of the management board at Escada Beauté Group, replacing Claude Palatin, effective November 17. Simonin was previously chairman of the company's supervisory board.


Claude Palatin, a much-respected executive within the French beauty industry, is expected to be appointed for specific international development missions at Escada within the next few weeks. He joined Escada Beauté in 1991 and has been responsible for the implementation of the seasonal fragrances concept as well as the recent launch of new fragrance, Sentiment.


Simonin will retain his position as member of the management board at parent company Escada Munich, in charge of worldwide development of accessories, licences and the Escada brand. Before joining Escada in 1999, he was president and ceo of La Redoute.
