Senior economist to speak at St Petersburg

Senior economist Leon Podkaminer is among the latest speakers to confirm their participation in the Raven Fox Baltic and East European Travel Retail Conference
Experts on the Baltic and east European markets have joined the line-up of speakers at the Baltic and East European Travel Retail Conference, which takes place on November 23-25 in St Petersburg.
Senior economist at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies Dr Leon Podkaminer will conduct the conference's opening presentation. He will examine the economic landscape in which the regional industry operates today, and the issues the local industry must face if it is to thrive in the future.
In the afternoon leading design company Samuelssons Group European director of market development Troy Abrahamsen will address how companies can manage the challenges of operating in the region.
The second day of the conference will open with a presentation of regional tourism and travel forecasts by Travel Business Partnership Research Director Nancy Cockerell. Later, European Travel Retail Council secretary general Keith Spinks will offer guidance on trade regulations in the region, while TMI Consultancy Moscow director Helene Lloyd will share her knowledge of the purchasing habits of the Russian consumer.
Riga International airport marketing director Liene Frievalde and Kievrianta general manager Garrett Coogan have also confirmed their participation in the conference which boasts a line-up of high-profile speakers including Gebr Heinemann's director of CIS, Baltics and Russia Pierre Viarnaud, ETRC president Frank O'Connell and Leonard Blinov, head of marketing and sales development at Moscow Domodedovo.
