Second triumph for Nuance-Watson at Hong Kong Airport

13-Feb-2003

Nuance-Watson has won the general merchandise concession for a second five-year term at Hong Kong International Airport

The nine outlets include two in the newly created space in the East Hall, two in the West Hall, one in each of the four concourses and one in the newly opened pre-arrivals shop.

''This time electronics was not included in general merchandise, it's being tendered as a separate concession,'' explained AAHK general manager retail and advertising Eva Tsang. ''This means they can consolidate into more profitable space and sell higher margin items rather than having more space. The amount of space is about the same as last time.'' The concession is for five years with options on a two-year extension, she added.

Nuance-Watson representatives were in meetings and unable to comment Wednesday. The company has already won six of the luxury standalone boutiques in the East Hall.
