Scorpio is all aflutter with eyelash deal

The distributor extends into a new niche of beauty accessories from Original Additions

UK-based travel-retail supplier and distributor Scorpio Distributors has signed a deal with beauty accessories house Original Additions (OA) to becoming the sole supplier of its beauty accessories to the airline industry from September. Scorpio’s established links to more than 180 global airlines for the supply of watches, fragrances and cosmetics was a key element in OA’s decision to hand over its inflight business, which has been growing steadily in the past 18 months, mostly with UK airlines.

OA UK sales director Mark Wood said: “Scorpio is a leading supply chain to this market and holds a wealth of experience, having built fantastic relationships across the world with leading international and national carriers. We have teamed up with Scorpio to increase our global airline business.”

Scorpio will be concentrating on already successful OA products from its Eylure brand such as Eylure Heated Eyelash Curlers and The Collection lashes plus a new range called Vivid Lashes. Scorpio will be presenting the OA collections to airline buyers this autumn for summer 2009 listings.
