Schiphol Group and The Nuance Group have ditched their plans to form a joint venture to operate the liquor, tobacco and confectionery retail outlets at Amsterdam Schiphol airport
Schiphol Group and The Nuance Group have decided not to proceed with their plans to establish a joint venture for the operation of the liquor, tobacco and confectionery retail outlets at Amsterdam Schiphol airport. After extensive negotiations the companies were unable to agree on "mutually acceptable terms" for the creation of the joint venture.
On May 7, Schiphol Group and Nuance signed of a memorandum of understanding to work to establish work a joint venture to operate liquor, tobacco and confectionery retail outlets at Schiphol.
In a statement The Nuance Group said: While regrettable, the discussions ended in good faith and the parties have agreed upon a proposal for the confectionary concession at Schiphol.
Nuance currently operates the confectionery concession at the airport while the airports subsidiary Schiphol Group operates the liquor and tobacco concessions.
