The 2009 edition of the popular DFNI Charity Ball will be held on February 27 at the Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel in London. The beneficiary will be the Jim Corbett Environmental Primary and Junior School, Patrani in India

DFNI is inviting the many long-time supporters of the DFNI Charity Ball to mark next year’s date early to avoid clashes in a packed industry calendar. The ball, which has raised vital funds for several small but worthy causes through the years—most recently £70,000 for Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Dublin—will be held on February 20 2009 at the Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel in London.

This year's beneficiarythe Jim Corbett Environmental Primary and Junior School, Patrani in Indiawas nominated by World Duty Free, Alpha Retail and Aldeasa business relations and external affairs director Sarah Branquinho, and aims to build the Corbett Dormitory School in the foothills of the Himalayas at an estimated cost of £50,000. Branquinho and her husband, TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen, have worked on two projects in India as part of BAA’s involvement with Fulcrum, a charity that offers personal development and leadership opportunities to young people.
