Sales slide 25% at Slovenian border stores

Slovenian resort operator Terme Maribor has reported a 25% decrease in duty-free revenues at its shops on the Austrian border over the first quarter of 2003

The company cited a dramatic drop in numbers at the crossings, as well as increased excise rates throughout 2002, as reasons for the loss.
