Five outlets at the new commercial building will boost the caterer's offer at Hong Kong International airport, taking SSP's total number of outlets at the airport to 24

Travel caterer SSP has been awarded five outlets at Hong Kong International airport's SkyPlaza. The company will operate franchises for Burger King, Vietnamese restaurant Green Cottage, Chinese dumplings restaurant Tian Xia Jiao Zi and the first Asian franchise of New York pizzeria Famous Famiglia, as well as a to-be-named bar concept. The contract at SkyPlaza, which takes the total number of SSP outlets at the airport to 24, will run for six years with a four-year renewal option.

The company, which first came to the airport eight years ago, recently expanded its offer at the airport's SkyPlaza, adding outlets for Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, Millie's Cookies and Caffe Ritazza.

"We are delighted to have gained a much sought-after presence at SkyPlaza," said SSP brands and marketing president Marta del Rio. "This win, along with our recent further expansion into SkyMart, reinforces our reputation of providing concepts and service that creates a better experience for the travelling public."

Airport Authority Hong Kong general manager of retail and advertising Eva Tsang added: "We have had a long and successful partnership with SSP, and we were confident that they would be able to continue to meet our exacting standards at SkyPlaza. We were impressed with the originality of the concepts they proposed."
