SAS Trading doubles space at Tallinn
SAS Trading is to open a 130sq m (1,400sq ft) shop at Tallinn airport, doubling its space at the facility and extending its contract to 2009
SAS Trading is doubling its space at Tallinn airport in Estonia, after winning the tender for a new 130sq m (1,400sq ft) shop. The company is also extending its contract at Tallinn until 2009.
SAS Trading currently operates duty- and tax-free shops for spirits, wine, tobacco, fragrances, cosmetics and fashion items at Tallinn airport, under the Euroshop name.
?We have compared the competing bids to find who can best contribute to enhancing the airport's attractiveness. SAS had the best bid and is already thoroughly familiar with the airport,? said Tallinn airport chairman Rein Loik.
?I am highly satisfied with this result and the positive cooperation with Tallinn airport. The agreement is entirely in line with our favourable trend in Estonia, as well as throughout Eastern Europe,? added SAS Trading area manager Lars-Olof Corselli.
Tallinn airport handled more than 700,000 passengers in 2003. These were primarily business travellers, but there is also a rapidly expanding group of leisure travellers, said SAS.
