Royal Air Maroc to install Onboard Retail Solutions’ inflight retail system on board 44 aircraft

Moroccan airline Royal Air Maroc has appointed Onboard Retail Solutions (ORS, formerly Clue Trader) to provide inflight retail technology for its fleet of 44 aircraft. The agreement also includes the installation of the ORS system for food and beverage sales on board the carrier’s low-cost subsidiary Atlas Blue.

Royal Air Maroc said in a statement that it required a system that enabled the company to improve cost control while boosting inflight duty-free sales. Spokesperson Khalid Assafi added: “Our main objective was to identify a robust solution that both ground and cabin crew found intuitive to use and quick to deploy. ORS’s option was easily the system of choice because of its modular format and the comprehensive support network the company has in place. We are extremely pleased with how straightforward the deployment has been.”

ORS CEO Thomas Drohan said: “We are incredibly excited to be working with Royal Air Maroc, which already has an impressive record on onboard sales, and we are looking forward to helping them improve this further. This implementation marks ORS’s first airline partnership in Africa.”
