Vancouver has enhanced its retail portfolio with a number of new additions to meet passengers' demands over the summer

Vancouver International airport has opened a number of new retail stores to meet the demands of travellers this summer. New concepts include Virgin Books & Music on level three of the domestic terminal, OPA! Souvlaki of Greece on level three of the international terminal and a fourth Absolute Spa located at Gate C32 in the domestic terminal. Burger King and Starbucks, located in the international terminal, have also been revamped.

Retail sales and service programmes manager Christopher Gilliland said: "The addition of these services enhances our existing product mix and better serves our travellers' needs. We want our customers to be ready for their summer travels, whether that means having a cool drink before they board their plane or buying the latest soundtrack for the summer."

Vancouver is home to more than 150 shops, services and restaurants. It is the second largest international passenger gateway on North America's west coast and expects to welcome 16.9m passengers in 2006.
