Reorganisation at Hennessy
LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton announced today that Gilles Hennessy is to join the LVMH Wines & Spirits business group as executive vice president sales development, effective September 1 2002
LVMH said Colin Campbell currently managing director - sales at Hennessy will cut back on his professional activities at the end of the year, whilst nevertheless retaining some functions at LVMH Wines & Spirits.
Gilles Hennessy, currently vice president and general manager of Hennessy, was acting president of the company until the appointment of Roland de Farcy as new president and ceo, effective immediately.
Roland de Farcy will report to Christophe Navarre, president of Moet Hennessy LVMH Wines & Spirits group, which combines Hennessy and other brands such as Dom Perignon, Moet & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin.
Christophe Navarre commented: "The appointment of Gilles Hennessy at Moet Hennessy will contribute to the development of our premium brands, which will benefit from his recognised expertise in the world of spirits and wines, and from his remarkable knowledge of our companies and their distribution networks."
