Reilly to steer buying at Harding Bros
The UK cruise concessionaire strengthens its board with the appointment of another World Duty Free veteran, Alyson Reilly, as director of buying.
UK cruise concessionaire Harding Bros has announced the appointment of Alyson Reilly as director of buying. Reilly, formerly global perfumes buyer at Allders International (now The Nuance Group) then director of buying and director of product development & strategy at World Duty Free (WDF), joins former BAA colleague and WDF founder Barry Gibson at Harding Bros, where he joined as chairman of the board last month.
Reilly will have overall responsibility for the management and strategy of Harding's buying. ?My key task is to enable the buying function to become a proactive leader of the business with the introduction of innovative product and trading strategies,? she said, ?whilst maintaining the flexibility and dynamism that has worked well, and been a key strength, to date. I have watched with great interest as Hardings has carved out a leading niche position in the duty-free arena and am very much looking forward to working with such a committed team.?
?Alyson's deep knowledge and understanding of the sector, combined with her proven trading skills, will undoubtedly enable us to build upon the success we have enjoyed to date,? said Harding Bros managing director Neil Harding. ?I, and the rest of the Board, welcome her appointment and we are excited at the prospect of working alongside her.?
