Regency Duty Free has opened three stores in Auckland airport's new departures concourse

The Nuance Group's New Zealand subsidiary Regency Duty Free has opened three stores in the new departures concourse at Auckland International airport. The retailer's New Zealand wine shop The Cellar, destination concept Made in New Zealand store and a Regency Duty Free general merchandise outlet all feature in the new area, which opened last week.

The departures concourse is located in the remodelled Pier A. The pier was redesigned to separate arriving and departing passengers and improve passenger flow.

Regency Duty Free director Kelvin Ricketts said: "We are committed to enhancing the shopping experience for tourists and kiwis alike. Together, the three stores aim to combine world-class retail with fun."

The retailer has installed flat-screen advertising throughout the stores.

Auckland airport extended Regency Duty Free's contract by two years to 2009 in May this year.
