Regency Duty Free has opened two new duty-free shops at Wellington airport and chocolate and wine outlet Chocovino at Auckland airport
Regency Duty Free has opened two duty-free outlets at Wellington International airport, which incorporate the airport's Wild at Heart theme and offer a mix of New Zealand and European brands. The stores include a Made in New Zealand section offering locally-produced items and a cellar area where local wines are available for passengers to try before they buy.
Regency Duty Free director Kelvin Ricketts said: Regency Duty Free is committed to enhancing the shopping experience for tourists and New Zealand nationals alike.The store openings coincide with the completion of stage one of Wellingtons International terminal upgrade. Stage two will begin in 2007.
The company has also opened a Chocovino shop in the landside area of Auckland airport. The speciality concept sells tax-free chocolate and wine to international travellers, which are also available to airport staff and airport visitors on a tax-paid basis.
Regency Duty Free is part of The Nuance Group and also has stores at Victoria Street, Auckland City.
