"Red letter day" as DFNI and TRI go online

23-May-2001

?

In a historic first for the travel-retail industry, leading trade publications Duty-Free News International and Travel Retailer International were today launched online, as DFNI Confidential and TRI Confidential.

From now on, any registered subscriber can access the archive and the magazines on the day of publication, from anywhere in the world.

"It's a red letter day in our development," said Raven Fox managing director Martin Moodie. "Our motto has always been 'ahead of the rest' and we're reinforcing this message, and our leadership status, with this new initiative. All our research shows that readership of print publications increases with the use of complementary online services. This allows the reader to dip into the magazine as it appears online and to read it in full later."
