New strategy planning meetings and training workshops will complement Raven Fox's existing event programme

Raven Fox will unveil a series of innovative events over the next 15 months, featuring strategic planning meetings and training workshops alongside its established calendar of conferences and awards ceremonies.

Strategic planning events are small, invitation-only events at which industry companies can discuss issues affecting the business and debate strategies to advance the trade. The first of these events will take place in Macau on September 17, directly preceding the inaugural Asia Pacific Travel Partnership Symposium, which runs from September 17-19 at the Wynn Macau resort. The symposium, themed 'Optimising the Travelling Conusmer Experience', will focus on information sharing along the travel chain and will feature presentations from internet booking companies, tour operators, airports, airport retailers, brand companies, hoteliers, cruiselines, airlines and national tourism organisations.

Raven Fox is also announcing European counterparts to the two events. The European Strategic Planning Meeting will be held in London on February 16 2007, and the European Travel Partnership Symposium, is planned for June 13-15 2007 in Barcelona.

Another innovation from Raven Fox are training workshops designed for airport middle managers who are involved in the retail aspect of the business. The first event - Retail space planning: The Asia Pacific Workshop - will be held in Shanghai on November 29-30 2006. More events will be announced at a later date.

The Raven Fox Awards for Travel Retail Excellence series, with three separate events covering the Americas, Asia/Pacific and global travel-retail industry, are now well established and will continue next year. The Americas awards will be held at The Duty Free Show of the Americas in Florida on April 23 2007. The Asian event will be held during the TFWA Asia Pacific in Singapore. on May 16 2007. And the global awards will coincide with the evening of the European Strategic Planning Meeting on February 16 2007.

Raven Fox will also hold its annual Raven Fox Charity Ball on February 16 2007 in London, in aid of ThePromise, a charity set up in 2003 to pioneer new ways of supporting children with special needs in Russia, both in the community and within the orphanage system. The charity's work has resulted in the introduction of a widely-acclaimed pre-school education system into Russian orphanages. ThePromise aims to build on this initial project to include not only other institutions, but also the community, and to provide vital support to disabled children who might otherwise be classified as beyond help.
