United Arab Emirates' Ras al-Khaimah International airport has reported 35.9% year on year sales growth for its duty-free and catering operations in the first two months of 2004

United Arab Emirates' Ras al-Khaimah International airport has reported 35.9% year on year sales growth for its duty-free and catering operations in the first two months of 2004. Sales reached Dh1.075m ($292,915) as total passenger figures grew by 151.2% to 70,233 in January and February, according to the UAE News Digest.

The airport is planning to boost sales further by offering passengers spending over Dh100 ($27.2) at its duty-free and catering facilities the chance to win a car in a monthly raffle. The promotion will run between April 2, 2004 and March 2005.
