Qatar Airways growth exceeds expectations

Qatar Airways exceeded traffic forecasts by 14% in the financial year to March 31, carrying 2.5m passengers to 40 destinations

Speaking at the airline's AGM, ceo Akbar Al Baker said that the carrier continued to exceed performance expectations, including sales revenue of 10% above its annual target.

Qatar Airways has recently ordered four aircraft from Airbus, including the new A380 "super-jumbo", and revealed that it would be expanding its route network to 50 destinations in the coming year.
