Paco Heredia, executive director of Argentine operator London Supply confirmed to TRW that the Argentine government would allow Argentine tourists to purchase duty-free goods in the new border shopping complex in Puerto Iguazu

The Presidential decree was signed on October 12 and London Supply started selling to its new captive market the following day.

He added," this is very good news for us as this will lead to a significant increase in turnover. It is also good news for the tourist as he will be able to buy leading international brands not available in the domestic market."
