Profits surge 65% at Jordanian Duty Free Shops

The border operator's results were boosted by a 37% increase in sales across its network of 16 stores

Jordanian Duty Free Shops has posted a 65% increase in net profit for the financial year 2004-5. The increase, to JD4.1m ($5.8m), was driven by a 37% increase in sales, to JD20m ($28.2m) across is network of 16 border stores.

Jordanian Duty Free Shops was established as a public company 10 years ago and is 40% privately owned.
