The agency will review the layout and product mix of the airport’s existing retail offer
Design agency Portland has announced is to develop a new retail strategy and commercial plan to maximise non-aeronautical revenues at Bologna airport. The London-based agency will review the layout and product mix of the airport’s retail offer together with all passenger communications and branding. The goal of the project is to enhance passenger experience while optimising new and existing commercial opportunities in the terminal.
Portland project director Alan Thompson said: “One of the main challenges will be to inject the true essence of Bologna into the airport from graphic communications, tone of voice and materials to the retail mix and food offer. Bologna has a rich heritage and strong cultural tradition that provides us with a great palette to work with.”
Bologna airport director of non-aviation Stefan Gardini added: “We have established a good relationship with Portland and our goal is to increase the quality of service for our customers in terms of the retail offer, the terminal environment and to provide a great airport travel-retail experience.”
