Portland strengthens design team

The new appointments are part of the company’s ongoing strategy to gain business in new markets

Design agency Portland has appointed five staff members as a result of new project wins and its ongoing strategy develop business in new markets. Paul Tynan has joined the environments team as a senior designer and will work on projects for Diageo and Wigmore Sports. Melisa Chan and Nikhil Pase have joined the developments team and will work on a variety of projects in the UAE, Turkey, Italy and the UK. Ling Cheon and Lara Farnhamhave joined the environmental graphics team working on projects for Abu Dhabi International airport and several developments in the UAE.

Portland director of retail Lewis Allen said: “We are actively looking to add to our team and hope to make some more announcements in the very near future. We have recently won new projects in Sweden, Turkey and Italy.”
 
Managing director Ibrahim Ibrahim added: “Recruitment and retention is a big challenge and we are constantly looking at ways to develop a culture that responds to individual needs and combines the informality of a home/social environment with the professionalism of a place of work.”
