Joe Porcelli, Lancaster Group Worldwide vice-president travel-retail and export, is to lead the group's travel-retail division and the integration of the Unilever Cosmetics International (UCI) portfolio, which it acquired in May this year for $800m
Scannavini said the company aimed to achieve global leadership in the fragrance market, both in terms of market share and innovation, by creating new concepts, product personalisation and innovative retail partnerships.
He commented: "We want to build a very modern, energetic and dynamic vision driven by the entrepreneurial spirit of the company. We want to build a competitive and highly skilled company which merges the best talents of the two organisations."
Porcelli told DFNI: "There's going to be a lot of excitement going forward. We're number three in the prestige fragrance market but our goal is to be number one. There has been a great deal of innovation within the group and it's going to increase."
Scannavini anticipates that the integration of the UCI business will enable the business to further develop its motto of the last three years – faster, further, freer.
Senior vice president commercial Lancaster Group worldwide Jean Mortier said the company's double digit growth momentum has continued since the UCI purchase with sales growth of 15% for the first quarter.
