Parent company Pernod Ricard unveils a celebratory bottle for its famous brand at a gala dinner in Paris

Pernod Ricard celebrated the 200th anniversary of its Pernod anis brand this week by hosting a gala dinner in Paris. The dinner, hosted by Pernod Ricard president Pierre Coppéré celebrated the efforts from Pernod Ricard staff across the world in promoting the brand. In attendance were Pernod Ricard presidents from Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Canada, France and Germany among others.

Coppéré thanked the delegates for making the Pernod brand successful in key markets such as Germany and the UK, where it is most successful, and hailed Pernod Ricard staff as 'champions' in making the brand so successful 200 years on.

Pernod has released a new bottle highlighting the 200th anniversary. Gold and silver packaging are used and the words '200 years' have been translated into 23 different languages. Pernod describes the bottle as "a limited edition with global distribution".
