Pernod Ricard to launch Aelia exclusive

The limited-edition bottle of Ricard will be available in May exclusively at the French retailer’s stores

Liquor supplier Pernod Ricard has announced it will launch a limited-edition bottle of Ricard exclusively at Aelia stores in May. The premium spirit, dubbed OR/Gold, comes in a gold bottle designed by Parisian agency Wolkoff & Arnaudin, which has worked on campaigns for beauty houses such as Christian Dior and Givenchy.

Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Europe marketing director John Smailes said: “We wanted to create a limited-edition offer for travel-retail with a glamorous look and feel that would be ideal as a gift for special occasions and allow consumers to trade up within the Ricard brand. The striking gold bottle stands out on the shelf and looks very appealing, while providing the consumer with the unique taste of Ricard, whose recipe remains unchanged since its creation in 1932.”

According to the company, Ricard is the ninth best-selling spirit worldwide.
