Brands showcased as rum and vodka drinks are served to travellers going through the South terminal

Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Europe has hailed the success of its latest promotion at London Gatwick airport, where visitors to the World Duty Free Store in the South terminal are being served a selection of six different cocktails made of Havana Club Rum or Stolichnaya Vodka in a purpose-built bar.

The company’s marketing manager John Smailes said: “The Havana Club and Stolichnaya cocktail promotion in London Gatwick South terminal has been a great way to communicate to the travelling consumer these brands’ unique characteristics, heritage and style. This opportunity to animate these brands in store has enabled us to engage with the consumer in an interactive and visually stunning way, whilst showcasing each brands individual identity.”

Manned by professional bartenders, the bar was opened on July 12 and will run until August 15. Globally, Stolichnaya sells 2.6 million nine-litre cases and Havana Club sells 2.4 million nine-litre cases annually.
