People moves at JHP Design

10-Dec-2002

After 23 years as managing director, John Herbert has become joint non-executive chairman of interior architects and airport design firm JHP, together with his wife Patricia

Steve Collis and Raj Wilkinson step up to be joint managing directors, taking over ownership and management in their strategic and creative capacities respectively.

John Herbert started his design career in 1960, working in architectural and design practices in the UK and North America. He established JHP Design in 1979 with Patricia. Herbert was design consultant to Selfridges department stores in London and Manchester, overseeing their masterplan at the time of the relaunch. The track record of JHP and John Herbert in the airport field includes work in all London Heathrow terminals, Hong Kong, the new Athens airport and the recently completed Venice Marco Polo airport shop concepts.

John Herbert commented:" JHP has a 20 year-long pedigree of innovative and effective design of which we are very proud. This organic and logical progression will ensure that the next 20 years are equally as exciting and fruitful."
