The Kappé Schiphol veteran won this year's Oeuvre Award at the airport's annual Consumer Awards
Airport authority Amsterdam Airport Schiphol honoured one of its longest serving retailers at the presentation of its annual Consumer Awards last week. Now in his 30th year at Kappé International, the retailer's chairman Jacques Parson was given the airport's Oeuvre Award in honour of his contribution to commerce at Schiphol over three decades.
Parson told RavenFox.com: "I am extremely honoured, it is a fantastic token of appreciation for 30 years of service and it also confirms the very successful partnership between Amsterdam airport and the Kappe organisation. I can assure you that I and my whole team will continue to deliver the same high level of performance."
Schiphol bookstore operator Ako director Peter Brouwer, electronics retailer Capi chief operating officer Jan Okhuijsen and casino operator Holland Casino director Roel Woering also received awards for their work at the airport.
The annual awards also recognised the companies at Schiphol that had provided the best service (communication centre operator Attingo), the best innovation (HMSHost for its seafood and wine bar Bubbles) and the largest growth (bookstore Ako).
