The Paradies Shops has expanded its presence at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport with the creation of two shops in the airport's new terminal one, concourse B

One outlet will trade under the CNBC News fascia, selling newspapers, books and other publications, while the other will offer a range of Florida-themed gifts, souvenirs and clothing under the Coastal Gifts concept. Both stores will cover 1,800sq ft (167sq m) of retail space.

The Paradies Shops, which began trading at Fort Lauderdale in 1984, has forecast sales of $3m in the new stores, and predicts total sales at the location of over $20m this year. Paradies senior vice-president regions Lou Bottino said: "Paradies-Fort Lauderdale is very proud to be a part of this very attractive new terminal expansion project."
