Pakistan to privatise airports in 2008, according to reports

The government will begin the privatisation process next year

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has indicated that the government plans to start privatising the country’s airports next year, starting with Faisalabad, according to reports from Asia Pulse.

Local and international companies will be invited to participate in the process and the CAA’s budget for airport development has been increased to Rs5bn ($82m), of which Rs3bn ($49m) has been spent so far.
