Out soon: Travel retail's most comprehensive fashion report ever
The Global Travel-Retail Market for Fashion, published by Raven Fox Research, offers a detailed analysis of this increasingly important category
Next month, Raven Fox Research will publish an in-depth review of the state of the travel retail market for fashion ? now a core element of the retail mix at most international hub airports.
The 300-page report, entitled The Global Travel-Retail Market for Fashion, will break down the fashion category, worth $2.775bn last year, into its constituent components (clothing, accessories and leathergoods) and analyse the sales trends of the past few years with a view to future forecasting by region and by category. Specific individual product categories such as ties, scarves, small leathergoods and sunglasses will also be analysed to provide useful trend data.
The report will feature tables that gauge consumer awareness of luxury brands in important travel-retail locations such as Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea to give readers an idea of the ?must have' labels. The Asian consumer as a luxury brands buyer is also re-evaluated as the importance of the Japanese shopper declines in travel-retail relative to other Asian nationals such as the Chinese.
Regulatory issues are also discussed and their effects examined. The report will conclude with case studies of some of the world's top travel-retail locations for fashion as well as sales and brands data from more than 100 airports and airlines.
