Oslo reports record passenger traffic in August

Strong growth leads Oslo airport to predict 15 million passengers for 2004

1.37m passengers passed through Oslo airport in August, an increase of 9.3% from the same month last year and the highest monthly figure recorded since the airport opened in 1998.

In the year to date, 9.97m passengers have been recorded, 10.3 % higher than in the first 8 months of 2003.
 
"If growth continues at this rate for the rest of the year, we will have served almost 15 million passengers by the end of the year," said Knut Stabæk, manager traffic development.
