The Broward Duty Free joint venture will now operate duty-free stores at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport until 2013

Broward Duty Free—the joint venture between The Nuance Group, Duty Free Air & Ship Supply (DFASS) and disadvantaged business enterprise Williams and Hope Corporation—has been awarded an extension to its duty-free concession at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport. The company, which currently operates two stores and two retail kiosks at the airport, has secured the concessions until December 31 2013.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport business manager Frances Schuster said: “We are pleased to grant a contract extension to Broward Duty Free, which has done an excellent job growing the duty-free business at the airport. This achievement is impressive in light of Broward having to deal with duty-free retail space limitations and significant international passenger gating reassignments necessary to accommodate our growth in passenger volume.”
