The retailer has secured five-year contracts to operate Coach, Bvlgari and Chocolate Box outlets at London Heathrow terminal five

The Nuance Group has announced it has won three five-year concessions at London Heathrow airport terminal five. The retailer will operate the first ever Coach airport boutique in Europe, a Bvlgari store and a Chocolate Box outlet from March 27, when the terminal opens to the public.

The 78sq m (839sq ft) Coach store features art deco-inspired lighting and an exclusively designed marble floor and will offer a full assortment of the brand’s ranges, including limited editions, accessories, sunglasses, watches, scarves and small leathergoods. Selected exclusive items will also be available to celebrate T5’s opening.

Luxury brand Bvlgari will be represented in a 53sq m (570sq ft) outlet featuring a contrast of light and dark colours in natural materials: one wall is made of light-coloured stone while the other is curved and features a smooth plastered finish in black. The store will house what the retailer claimed is the world’s largest plasma screen, measuring 1.22m x 2.44m, and the products on offer will include watches and fine jewellery, large and small leathergoods, luxury accessories and vintage pieces never before available in travel-retail. An exclusive T5 charm will be included in the range.

The 50sq m (538sq ft) Chocolate Box shop will feature a wide range of loose chocolates, chocolate waterfalls at either side of the store entrance and a chocolate kitchen where master chocolatiers will demonstrate their skills to travellers.

Nuance CEO Europe Jean-Paul Bonnel said: “London Heathrow is the busiest airport in Europe and an important location for travel-retail operations. We are pleased to have been selected as partners for the retail offer at the truly magnificent T5 and look forward to providing passengers with an exciting and entertaining shopping offer.”

BAA group retail strategy director and retail director of T5 Nick Ziebland said: "We are delighted to announce that T5 will play host to three unique concessions operated by The Nuance Group. Bvlgari, Coach and Chocolate Box will each provide passengers travelling through the new terminal with exclusive retail offerings within cutting edge store designs. All three stores will be perfectly positioned to provide passengers with a unique shopping experience."
