The Nuance Group has been awarded the "2000 Sydney Airport Retailer of the Year" prize. The award caps two years' of major redevelopment at the airport and is a tribute to Nuance's success in combining duty-free retail and entertainment.

Nuance Group ceo for the Asia Pacific region, John Moore commented that the award underlines the importance of celebrating 'the theatre of retail'. "Our concepts for Sydney demonstrate that Nuance can create a truly exciting shopping environment, in close collaboration with both airports and brands, and we really broke new ground with some of the concept stores such as Australian Winegrowers", said Moore. In October Nuance received the Frontier Award for "Best Partnership Initiative of the Year" for its cooperation with United Distillers & Vintners at Sydney Airport.
