The 950sq m (10,225sq ft) outlet will include high-end brands
The Nuance Group has announced that it will open a 950sq m (10,225sq ft) store at Manchester airport's remodelled terminal one entirely dedicated to fashion and accessories. The new Fashion Gallery will have a department store in format featuring shop-in-shop concepts for brands including Armani, Bally, Burberry, Escada Sport, Guess, Hugo Boss, Montblanc, Porsche Design and Tommy Hilfiger. In addition to the fashion offer, Nuance will introduce an oval-shaped accessories shop comprising a Goldsmiths-branded Jewellery and Watches concept covering 59sq m (635sq ft) and a 67sq m (721sq ft) Sunglasses area.
Nuance CEO Jean-Paul Bonnel said: We started discussing our ideas regarding the design of this spectacular retail development with Manchester airport well over a year ago. Manchester wanted a true department store at the centre of their fashion offer. In the beginning there were doubts whether creating a fashion department store of these dimensions was feasible at an airportit certainly had never been done before. We went out to benchmark this opportunity together and we worked very closely to define the positioning, ranging and, last but not least, how to deliver a breathtaking design concept.
Manchester Airports Group commercial director Andrew Harrison said: "We have invested more than £35m ($71.8m) in the redevelopment of our most popular terminal and it was important that we anchored the retail scheme with an excellent department store. We're very pleased to welcome The Nuance Group to this new development and look forward to building on an already excellent relationship with the organisation."
