Italian retailer Gruppo PAM acquired The Nuance Group from SAirGroup for SFr405m, or $244m, according to fashion group Stefanel, which is poised to buy a 50% stake in the airport retailer.

Stefanel, which has been granted a call option to buy 50% of Nuance by Gruppo PAM, told Swiss media of the financial offer as it considered its own bid. The deal, announced on April 17, did not disclose the sale price.

Stefanel said that under the terms of the sale, it had a window of two months in which it could acquire the 50% shareholding in Nuance "under the same financial conditions" as the original purchase by Gruppo PAM.
