The Nuance Group's has opened an Anthon Berg shop-in-shop at Copenhagen duty-free shop
The Nuance Group has opened a 20sq m (215sq ft) Anthon Berg shop-in-shop at its Copenhagen Kastrup airport tax-free shop, which it says will form the backbone of the location's confectionery offer.
The store comprises an 8sq m (86sq ft) counter display area, 9m (29.5ft) of shelf space and a new Anthon Berg branded gondola unit. Customers can select their favourite chocolates, which are then packed into individual gift boxes designed specifically for the Copenhagen tax-free shop. A number of new chocolate pralines are also exclusively available at the shop. All staff completed a training programme with Anthon Berg and spent two days at its factory.
Nuance's outgoing Denmark managing director Stephan Salvisberg said: "We wanted to make sure our tax-free shop's offer would appeal to all senses. These include smell and taste. We also wanted to provide a real shopping experience, underlining the theme of indulgence. Working with Anthon Berg, the Danish market leader in premium chocolate, we have managed to create just the sort of excitement that will make shopping at our Copenhagen tax-free shop so special."
Toms Confectionery Group international marketing manager Anette Thisgaard commented: "Since Anthon Berg became part of Toms Confectionery Group almost 50 years ago, our chocolatiers have developed the brand with respect for the traditions and quality standards that were established by Anthon Berg himself. The decision to open a shop, where we can get close to the consumer and can deliver not only quality chocolate, but a whole chocolate experience, was therefore a natural next step."
