The new arrivals duty-free outlet is described by the airport as the best in Australia
The Nuance Group has opened its new arrivals duty-free store at Melbourne airport terminal two under the F1RST Tax and Duty Free fascia. The outlet offers liquor, fragrances and cosmetics, tobacco products, confectionery, watches, sunglasses and electronics and features a new layout covering about 1,500sq m (16,146sq ft) including the concourse area. Customers were greeted at the opening with cocktails, chocolate tastings, mini-massages, entertainment and competitions.
Melbourne airport CEO Chris Woodruff said: “This is the best arrivals store in Australia and arguably the most convenient and engaging arrivals shop in the world. The store welcomes every arriving passenger and gives a great first impression of Melbourne.”
Returning passengers can benefit from an enhanced collections desk for the “Ready for Collection” service, which allows travellers to purchase items when departing from the airport and collect them on their return.
The Nuance Group Australia and New Zealand CEO Jann Fisch explained: “Customers find this service exceptionally convenient, shopping on departure, carrying less and collecting on their return. The arrivals store is designed based on our insights of how customers want to shop on arrival, offering great deals across a broad range of products, easy access and visibility from the walkway and a rapid shopping experience.”
