The Nuance Group's successful "Australian Wine Growers" concept store has been further developed as the retail operation in the National Wine Centre of Australia. The multi million-dollar wine and tourism showcase in Adelaide was officially opened on 6 October by South Australia's premier, John Olsen. Earlier last week, Nuance also opened its latest lifestyle concept store "LiveWorkPlay" at Sydney International airport.

The Wine Centre opening ceremony was attended by the Minister for the Environment and Heritage, senator Robert Hill and the chairman of the National Wine Centre, Rick Allert. Premier Olsen said the National Wine Centre of Australia was "a unique icon for the people of Australia. It is a world-class, world-first facility which will benefit the wine industry, South Australia and the nation."

The Nuance Group's "Australian Wine Growers" concept, promotes wine and wine related products including National Wine Centre branded products and a tax-free service for international visitors. The Nuance Group Asia Pacific ceo, John Moore, said: "We have worked closely with the National Wine Centre to deliver a retail experience which will be complimentary to the aims of the Australian Wine industry. As a key tourism retailer we believe strongly in promoting this industry to a wide audience of international travellers."

The $13m Centre features an exhibition gallery, a cellar housing more than 32,000 bottles of Australian wine, tasting and function rooms overlooking the Centre's vineyard and the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, a restaurant designed to encourage visitors to explore the relationship between food and wine, education rooms and an extensive Tasting Gallery where wines from every Australian wine region can be sampled (pictured). The Centre is targeting 170,000 international and domestic visitors annually.

Meanwhile "LiveWorkPlay" took off at Sydney airport's Qantas Domestic Terminal on 4 October. This new concept fuses the needs of the home, office, sports and social worlds, offering the very latest products to hit the market in one ultra-hip, designer space.

The store features technology, gadgets, toys, sunglasses, fashion, products for pure pampering, funky home furnishings and the very latest in technological advancements. Consumers are invited to touch, feel and explore the new products on sale before they buy. With regular updating of products available in store, LiveWorkPlay will provide a snapshot of future cutting-edge trends.
