**DFNI EXCLUSIVE** The Nuance Group and HMSHost divide the spoils at Toronto's speciality retail tender

As The Nuance Group prepares its bid to retain the main duty-free contract at Toronto Lester B Pearson, it has secured two key contracts in the airport's speciality retail tender. Nuance will operate two specialist stores, Roots and Throat Threads on Bay, in the location's new terminal one airside. HMSHost will operate the biggest store on offer, a 191sq m (2,055sq ft) Destination Toronto outlet offering local art and crafts, ice hockey memorabilia, Tumi luggage and Oakley apparel.

Nuance's Roots store, covering 100sq m (1,076sq ft), will sell leisure and sportswear, while Throat Threads on Bay (77sq m/828sq ft) will offer accessories aimed at business travellers. Other stores to open in T1 airside in spring 2004 are Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Sunglass Hut, Reflections of Toronto and Lush handmade cosmetics.
