Broward Duty Free, a joint venture led by The Nuance Group, has won the open tender to operate four duty-free outlets at Fort Lauderdale airport

Broward Duty Free has scooped the five-year tender for four duty-free shops at Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International airport. Nuance is the majority partner in the Broward Duty Free joint venture, which unites Duty Free Air and Ship Supply (DFASS) and Williams and Hope Corporation.

The Nuance Group CEO for North America Richard Rendek said: "This new concession will increase our US business and provides us with an additional platform for continued expansion. We are excited about the opportunity to develop the duty-free concession at the airport and we believe that there is a substantial opportunity to grow the duty-free business there."

Fort Lauderdale offers a non-stop service to over 40 cities, international flights to Canada, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America and serves over 20m passengers a year.
