Nuance invests $43m in Downtown Duty Free rebranding

The group is to replace its Downtown Duty Free brand with F1rst Duty Free, except at Sydney International airport where it will use Syd Tax and Duty Free

The Nuance Group is reported to be investing A$50m ($43m) in rebranding its Downtown Duty Free fascia at Australian airports. Downtown Duty Free will be replaced by F1rst Duty Free at all outlets except at Sydney International, where as previously reported it will be introducing the Syd Tax and Duty Free branding.

F1rst Duty Free will be introduced at all of Nuance’s airport locations across Australia, including Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, and will be accompanied by store upgrades at many locations.

Nuance’s Australian revenues grew by 3.1% to A$585m ($500m) in 2006.
