Figures from Stefanel show that Nuance sales have surpassed €1bn in 2006

The Nuance Group’s joint parent company Stefanel has reported that the travel retailer achieved sales of €1.03bn ($1.35bn) in 2006, which is an increase of 3.2% on 2005. The cost of sales at Nuance increased slightly to €481.2m ($633.2m), compared with €465.2m ($611.6m) in 2005. However EDITDA decreased from €36m ($47.3m) in 2005 to €34m ($44.7m) in 2006.

Stefanel group chairman Giuseppe Stefanel said: We are still involved in a period of rationalisation and turnaround: the airport anti-terrorism rules adopted in 2006 have in part slowed down our turnaround programme, but it is still going forwards and I am convinced that they will bear fruit soon.”
